Description
Because this is a mixed dozen, it has to be added to your cart in multiples of 12 bottles. This mixed dozen has been priced at $29.09 per bottle because $29.09 x 12 = $349.08, which is the correct price to pay for it.
There are 9 bottles of red, one of white, and two rosé in this suggested mixed dozen. And there are 9 different individual wines:
- Bruyère et David “Les Parcelles” Saint-Joseph red 2020. 100% Shiraz. Smoky, meaty, spicy, plush fruit, savoury nuances, earthy warmth, forest floor, powdered cocoa, crispy bacon, while the palate is lush, medium full with fine tannin, breadth and length. Normally $72.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Domaine Sergent “Les Noyers” 2019 from the Madiran region of south-west France. Tannat and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. A beast of a red wine, full-bodied, concentrated, and polished to smooth perfection. Normally $37.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Domaine du Haut-Montlong “Tradition” Bergerac Red 2019. Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon. Scorching value for money and a delicious introduction to Bergerac’s gutsy modern red wine style. Normally $23.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Domaine de Berthenet red Burgundy 2020. 100% Pinot Noir. Deep Pinot fruit, morello cherries, delicate oak barrel maturation notes, and then a palate that is balanced, juicy, and firm. Classic red Burgundy from a top artisan producer making magic wines far away from the mainstream. Normally $42.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Le Mas des Flauzières “Cuvée Julien” Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages/Séguret 2019. Grenache 70% Shiraz 30%. 18 months in barrel. There is a wild exoticism to this wine with its piercingly pretty perfume and tropical notes that sparkle around the surging core of dark fruit, but the palate – as always – is where the wine’s greatness lies with its full body armoured by a chainmail suit of savoury tannins. Normally $36.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Domaine de Berthenet “Les Macles” Montagny 2020, WHITE Burgundy. 100% Chardonnay. The aromatics here are punchy and ripe with tropical notes of pineapple, fleshy juicy peaches, rock melon, salty caramel, and mango, while the palate is sheer class with driving acidity, fresh, long, dry, and tingling on the tongue. $48.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- Bruyère et David “Plaisir” Syrah 2020. From a parcel of vines directly adjacent to Côte-Rôtie in the northern Rhône Valley. 100% Shiraz. Immediately dark to the eye and offering a perfume cloud of classic northern Rhône spicy pepperiness, raw in its youthfulness and fully candid take on the variety, and then a palate that is smooth enough, but firm enough too, with elegance, balance, and edgy length. Normally $42.95. 1 bottle in this mixed dozen.
- “Montjau” Côtes-du-Rhône 2020. Grenache, Shiraz, Carignan and Mourvèdre blend. Certified organic. Powerful fruit, blackberry jam, clean and clear, depth, ripe and jubilant, while the palate is round, flavoursome, and smooth. Normally $27.95. 3 bottles in this mixed dozen.
- “Le Gris d’Ardèche” ROSÉ from the Vignerons of the Ardèche 2021. 100% pure Grenache.
Bright strawberry, jubes, bath salt notes, while the palate is dry, fresh, and with excellent tension. Vibrantly young and the first wine I have seen from the most recent/2021 harvest. Superb rosé of serious class. Normally $22.95. 2 bottles in this mixed dozen.
This works out at $436.4 of wine for today’s special price of $349.08, which is a discount of 20%. Please note that today’s special prices only apply to these wines when they are ordered as this suggested mixed dozen.
How to order.
Because this is a mixed dozen, it has to be added to your cart in multiples of 12. So to order one of these mixed dozens, put 12 bottles in your cart, or to order two of these mixed dozens, put 24 bottles in your cart, etc. This mixed dozen has been priced at $29.09 per bottle because $29.09 x 12 = $349.08, which is the correct price to pay for it.
Please also note that if the stock counter towards the top of this page is showing “792 in stock”, for example, that means that there are 66 mixed dozens available because 792/12=66. Or if it showed there were “12 in stock” that doesn’t mean that there are 12 of these suggested mixed dozens available but actually just one of them because 12/12=1, etc. In other words, the stock count figure shows the total number of bottles not the number of dozens available.
