The 2025 “L’Homme Mort” Premier Cru is a richly expressive Chablis, marrying exotic fruit intensity with unmistakable mineral drive and supple palate texture. The nose bursts with vibrant Chardonnay character — ripe peach, lemon tart, and candied citrus blossom layered over classic notes of crushed oyster shell and wet stone. There is an extrovert generosity to the aromatics that sets this wine apart, offering both Chardonnay fruit expression and depth.
On the palate, the fruit profile is generous and ripe, yet beautifully controlled. Softly textured, the wine envelopes the tongue with a creamy mid-palate, derived from careful lees ageing and the warm vintage conditions. But underneath this lavish and indulgent surface texture lies Chablis’ firm mineral spine providing structure, precision and length.
