Winemaking:
Produced from Premier Cru-designated vineyards in Pouilly-Fuissé—an accolade only officially granted from the 2022 vintage onward—this cuvée represents the pinnacle of the domaine’s Chardonnay. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Ageing continues in barrel for approximately 10–12 months, allowing for full integration of oak, fruit, and lees-derived texture. Regular bâtonnage enhances richness and complexity, while maintaining balance and precision. The result is a wine that marries power with finesse, showcasing both terroir and élevage.

Tasting Note:
A benchmark expression of Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru, “Rendez-Vous” 2023 is an indulgent yet finely tuned Chardonnay that delivers immediate impact and lasting sophistication. The nose is expansive and layered, revealing aromas of lemon tart, ripe white peach, and pear, interwoven with notes of butter, toasted cashew, vanilla, and sweet oak. Hints of honey, straw, and wet stone add depth and a distinct mineral edge.

On the palate, the wine is vigorous and beautifully textured, combining richness with a vibrant, driving acidity. Juicy citrus and stone fruit flavours are wrapped in a creamy, oak-kissed frame, yet the wine remains resolutely dry and energetic. There is a compelling tension between opulence and freshness, giving the wine both immediacy and structure.

The finish is long, precise, and mouth-watering, with lingering notes of citrus zest, toasted nuts, and mineral nuance. Drinking superbly now, it will continue to evolve through to 2032 and beyond.
