Description
#7. Camille Cayran “Le Chêne Noir” Côtes-du-Rhône Villages 2022.
50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan.
Some call Grenache the “Pinot of the South” and the smooth class of this classic Côtes-du-Rhône will show you why. Plangent fruit, really deep and ripe, blackberry jam and Cherry Ripe, while the palate is full, smooth, and with a little tannin to the generally soft and gluggable palate. Not complex but outstanding bang-for-buck.
