Tasting Note:
The 2022 “Tradition” from Domaine du Galet des Papes is a benchmark Châteauneuf-du-Pape—rich, vibrant, and sun-drenched. Sourced from vines rooted in the iconic galets roulés, this Grenache-dominant blend embodies the soul of the Southern Rhône. Aromatically intense, it bursts with black cherry, raspberry liqueur, and cassis, seasoned with notes of liquorice, white pepper, lavender, and wild herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent yet remarkably fresh, with supple tannins and a lifted finish echoing garrigue, wild thyme, and crushed berries. The alcohol is seamlessly integrated, supporting rather than overwhelming the wine’s generous structure.

A natural match for hearty Provençal fare—try with braised lamb shoulder, duck in cherry sauce, or rosemary-spiked grilled sausages. Aged cheeses such as Comté, or Brillat-Savarin and simple Reggiano Parmesan chunks also make inspired companions. Drink now for its bold youthful fruit or cellar through 2035 to enjoy its evolving complexity. A true expression of place, authenticity, and southern flair.
