Tasting Note:
Crafted by Jean-Luc Thunevin from a diminutive 3.5-hectare site nestled beside legendary Château Pavie, Le Clos du Beau-Père 2018 is a Pomerol of exceptional depth and harmony. The outstanding 2018 vintage lends this wine a rich, opulent character, yet it remains beautifully balanced and refined. Plush layers of black cherry, plum compote, cedar, mocha, and crushed violets unfurl in the glass, laced with subtle graphite and sweet spice from new oak.

On the palate, it’s mouth-filling and luxuriously smooth, with powerful yet velvety tannins. There’s a deep sense of completeness—structure and softness in perfect counterpoint. The finish is long, seamless, and echoing with dark fruit and savory undertones.

Awarded 94 points by James Suckling, this is an epic Pomerol built for the ages. Drink from 2025 to 2040 with truffle risotto, tournedos Rossini, or aged Comté.
