Description
Château Petit Mouta from the Graves district of Bordeaux, vintage 2021.
90% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. White wine.
What Chablis does for Chardonnay, the Graves district of Bordeaux does for Sémillon/Sauvignon blends, and 2021 was a year that brought this quality into laser-pointed focus. The fruit is ultra-fresh with kiwi, gooseberry, lemon and lime fruit, lemon sorbet, capsicum and ginger notions, while the palate is dry, clean, light as a feather, and highly refreshing.
A cracking little wine from the village where I lived when completing a winemaking apprenticeship between 1998 and 2001.
Drink now to 2024.
