Grenache Blanc and Clairette blend.
The Southern Rhône is known for often flabby/blowsy whites but the higher proportion than usual of Grenache Blanc gives this a fresher and more delicate aromatic profile than is perhaps expected. There’s still the area’s trademark jasmine and apricot notes, but also a more precise lemon tart type-fruit, while the palate has real and natural zing, lithe, zippy, and long. It’s dry and stylish and has a good medium-term future.
