The 2024 Château Macuoil Côtes du Rhône Villages Blanc is a crystalline expression of the southern Rhône, offering aromatic vibrancy and a graceful texture. A blend anchored in Grenache Blanc and Clairette, with Roussanne adding structure and Viognier a floral lift. On the nose, it bursts with white peach, pear, citrus zest, and honeysuckle, underpinned by a whisper of wild herbs and wet stone.
The palate is medium-bodied and silky, marked by bright acidity and a creamy mid-palate thanks to subtle lees ageing. There’s a lovely interplay of ripe orchard fruit and mineral finesse, finishing with a mouthwatering salinity that beckons another sip.
Perfect as an aperitif but equally at home alongside seafood risotto, grilled chicken with lemon and thyme, or goat cheese salads. Best enjoyed young for its aromatic purity, though it will hold gracefully through to 2030. A refined and expressive white Rhône that captures the warmth of its origin with freshness and poise.
