40% Cabernet Sauvignon/60% Merlot, aged in oak. Margaux is one of Bordeaux’s flagship red wine districts, north of the city itself, rising regally above the left bank of the Gironde estuary.
Dark in the glass. Smoky nose, saucisson, pan juices, cigar box, spicy oak, vanilla and toast, while the palate is big and firm at first but melts in the mouth into a warm and full bodied, textured, supple, and expansive elixir. A big bear-hug of a Margaux.
