Description
Camille Cayran “Le Chêne Noir” Côtes-du-Rhône Villages 2022.
50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan.
Bam! Côtes-du-Rhône Villages at its extrovert best. Plangent fruit, really deep and ripe, blackberry jam and Cherry Ripe, while the palate is full, rich, and with a little tannin to the generally soft and gluggable palate. Not sophisticated but outstanding bang-for-buck.

90 Points from James Suckling: Juicy, fruit-driven blend of grenache noir, carignan and syrah. The nose shows aromas of strawberries, sweet cherries, crushed raspberries and mild spices. Medium-bodied with soft tannins. Plenty of juicy fruit with a linear development on the palate and a fresh finish. Drink now.
