60% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, 20% Mourvèdre.
This is an intensely young Châteauneuf-du-Pape cut from some of the finest cloth that CNDP has to offer. Incredible spice and fruit that is glossy, deep, and intense with lashings of blackberry, blueberry, and plum jam, highlighted with marzipan and licorice notes, while the palate is full but very neatly structured. The smoky spiciness is the defining aromatic feature here.
The Grenache sets out a canvas of heroic breadth, Shiraz adds purple colour and peppery spice, and the Mourvèdre adds the earthy complexity, making for a sumptuous and complete CNDP with a very bright future.
