This wine has graduated from Bordeaux to Bordeaux Supérieur with this, the new 2023 vintage, and there has also been a quality and stylistic leap forwards from the previous vintage.
Eruption of primary fruit, lifted-almost-piercing cassis high note, perfumed blackberry and plum jam with smokey notes of oak, tar, earth, prunes, tea, and raisins, while the palate is smooth, medium-bodied, and very gentle tannins on the finish. Very smart Bordeaux Supérieur in a dashing and modern style. High Cabernet Franc content is the key here. Red Bordeaux in a lighter style made for summer.
