The Domaine du Galet des Papes “Le Petit Galet” Côtes-du-Rhône 2025 is a gloriously generous expression of a warm, solar Rhône vintage, overflowing with richness, perfume and irresistible Mediterranean charm. Brilliant ruby-red in the glass, it immediately entices with exuberant aromas of ripe black cherries, raspberry compote, wild strawberries and kirsch, wrapped in fragrant rose petals, Provençal herbs and sweet baking spices. Beneath the lavish fruit lies a seductive layer of cracked black pepper, liquorice, cloves and a hint of warm earth, bringing depth and authenticity. The palate is wonderfully plush and full-bodied, with succulent Grenache delivering luscious red berry fruit, while Syrah contributes spice and dark fruit intensity and Mourvèdre adds savoury structure and length. Velvety tannins and vibrant freshness prevent the wine’s generosity from becoming heavy, leading to a long, warming finish filled with juicy fruit, spice and gentle notes of garrigue.
