Appellation: Lalande-de-Pomerol AOC

The Château Vieille Dynastie Lalande-de-Pomerol 2022 is a richly expressive Right Bank Bordeaux that demonstrates why Lalande-de-Pomerol remains one of the region’s outstanding value appellations. Crafted by the highly respected vigneron Fred Borderie, this beautifully balanced blend combines Merlot’s generous fruit with the aromatic finesse of Cabernet Franc and the structure and longevity of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc. Deep garnet in colour, it opens with luxuriant aromas of freshly crushed blackberries, blackcurrant, ripe black cherries and damsons, layered with notes of cedar, sweet spice, cocoa, forest floor and finely integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied and beautifully proportioned, offering velvety dark fruit richness supported by polished tannins, vibrant freshness and a savoury mineral thread that carries through to a long, refined finish. Powerful yet poised, it captures both the generosity of the outstanding 2022 vintage and the timeless elegance of this distinguished Right Bank terroir.

A superb companion to roast beef, rack of lamb, duck breast, venison or mature cheeses, this is a serious Bordeaux that drinks beautifully now after decanting but will continue to develop additional complexity through 2030 and beyond, rewarding patient cellaring with even greater depth and finesse.

Awards & Accolades: Gold Medal – Concours des Vins d’Aquitaine 2024 • 92/100 Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Notes of dark berries, flowers and cassis… medium to full-bodied, juicy and round… velvety tannins, culminating in a long, ethereal, fruity finish… a real success that can age gracefully over the next decade or more.” (Drink 2026–2038)
