Vinification & Maturation: Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve purity of fruit, followed by 14 months of ageing in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new. This balanced use of oak lends structure and finesse without overwhelming the wine’s natural elegance.

The 2018 Château La Dominique is a standout expression of Right Bank Bordeaux, radiating charm and sophistication from the first pour. A lush, dark-fruited bouquet of black cherry, plum, and blackberry compote is seamlessly interwoven with subtle cedar, graphite, and exotic spice from its judicious oak ageing. On the palate, it offers a beautifully layered profile—silken Merlot at its core delivers plushness and immediate appeal, while Cabernet Franc adds lift and aromatic nuance, and a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon brings fine tannic grip.
Its texture is polished yet energetic, with superb balance between ripe fruit, acidity, and supple structure. The finish is long, savoury, and tinged with cocoa and violet. Already drinking beautifully, this vintage has the pedigree and concentration to evolve gracefully over the next 10–15 years.
