Scored a whopping 95 points out of 100 and awarded a gold medal by Decanter magazine. The Other Bordeaux is proud to be the first wine merchant in the world to be given the honour of selling this wine. Château Lastours held back the release of this vintage when it picked up the aforesaid award and rating from Decanter but when I met with the owners in France in February they said that, given the time it takes for the wine to get to us in Australia, we could have it a month or two before anyone else!
Spicy fruit, smooshed strawberries and black currant jam, earthy and wildly intense, with notes of oak and bbq smoke, while the palate is polished, finely structured, and surprisingly generous given its relatively mild alcohol level. Total bargain.
