Finally! After many years of searching I have found a producer with vineyards in some of the smartest areas of Burgundy, who makes wines of the highest possible quality, but who sells them for prices that actually represent good value-for-money.
The “Les Perrières” vineyard is one of the best in the Côtes de Nuits-Villages area as a result of its exceptional exposure to the sun in the southern sky, resulting in Pinot Noir of powerful fruit intensity and structure.
Dark in the glass. Toasty, fruit-driven with black cherry, blackberry, cassis, earthy pinosity, leather, plums, and more, while the palate is saturated with flavour, juicy and chewy structure, mouth-coating richness, and a long and firm finish. Tantalisingly positioned on the edge between richness and savouriness. This is classic Burgundy Pinot at the right price.
