Tasting Note:
From a landmark Bordeaux vintage, the 2022 Le Clos du Beau-Père is a bold, opulent Pomerol that showcases both immediate allure and formidable ageing potential. In its youth, it is strikingly powerful—silky yet concentrated, with a lusciously textured palate brimming with ripe blackberries, dark plums, and sweet red berry coulis. Layers of espresso, dark cocoa, and subtle vanilla unfold from its maturation in new oak, adding richness and depth without overshadowing the fruit. Despite its generosity, there is a vibrant freshness and underlying structure that keeps the wine poised and energetic. The tannins are plush yet persistent, framing the fruit with a polished grip that promises graceful evolution over the next 10+ years. While approachable from 2025, this is a wine built for the cellar, where its youthful power will gradually resolve into greater complexity and finesse. Ideal with roast duck, beef tenderloin, or truffle-infused dishes.
