In the glass, it offers a heady, wild expression: deeply perfumed with spicy red and black fruits, smooshed strawberries, and blackcurrant jam, layered with smoky oak, grilled meat, and the rustic earthiness so typical of Braucol and Duras. The palate is unexpectedly polished—supple and structured, with velvety tannins, ripe fruit generosity, and a savoury, smouldering depth that lingers long after the last sip. Its 13% alcohol gives it lift and freshness, without compromising on richness.
A superb companion to chargrilled lamb, roast duck or chicken, this wine is drinking beautifully now but has the structure to evolve gracefully through 2030.
