The 2022 Villa des Quatre Sœurs is a beautifully approachable Margaux that punches well above its price point. Deep ruby in hue, it opens with classic Left Bank aromas—dark bramble fruits, earthy undertones, smoky oak, and complex nuances of cedar, antique wood, cigar box, and dried roses. A fresh menthol lift and floral violet notes add further aromatic intrigue.
On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky, with light, polished tannins and a clean, refreshing line of acidity. Flavours of blackcurrant, plum, and savoury spice unfold gradually, leading to a poised, lingering finish. This is a Margaux of understated charm, offering both finesse and drinkability in its youth.
Serve at 16–18 °C. Ideal with roast duck, mushroom-based dishes, grilled lamb, or firm cheeses.
