This is the estate’s flagship Crozes-Hermitage and its 100% Shiraz grapes are harvested from Domaine des Remizières’ best parcels and oldest vines (average age is 65 years) and the wine is aged for 15 months in 70% new and 30% older oak barrels.
Boom! Intense black fruit and olive tapenade, chocolate, blackberry jam, smoky duck, lashings of spice and fruit compote, beetroot earthiness, toasty oak and vanilla, while the palate is firm and intense, tightly structured with grainy tannins, savoury minerality, medium-full body and mouth-coating texture. A gripping and serious wine with a great future.
