Black-purple colour in the glass before a flood of blueberry, black pepper, vanilla, tarry oak, cloves, floral perfume and subtle herbal notes, while the palate is full and dense but reined in by fine structure, firm and long. This is elegant but really powerful too, muscular but tall and fine. Will unwind nicely in the cellar over a decade or more.
