100% Chardonnay from Champagne Testulat in Épernay. I met Vincent Testulat and his son when I was in the region in February this year and was blown away by the quality and value of their range. Vincent’s family has been making Champagne since 1862 and their expertise as well as the quality of their vineyards can be tasted in the glass.
Mineral perfume, ozone, lemon tart, brioche buns, and hints of ripe peach and cashew nuts, while the palate is vivacious, dry, searching, and long. Intensity and complexity with detailed subtlety. Liquid luxury!
